Corridor’s technology team manages a fast growing, tech-infused services platform with a substantial workflow / process automation portfolio and technology vision, 100% domestic work-from home (WFH) organization, 100% cloud-based technology environment, a substantial offshore staff capability who use Corridor technology platforms, 20+ client deployed / provided electronic medical record (EMR) systems which Corridor staff use daily, all in a highly regulated and “compliance first” (SOC2 Type II) systems environment critical to ensure ongoing client trust and market reputation.

The System Engineer will be a critical member of a small (10+) IT team, with an ability to lead projects and efforts on the team in their area of expertise, while also being an engaged, expert team member to other IT projects and service areas. While specializing in the key areas detailed below, the right candidate will also have broad experience on systems support, disaster recovery programs, customer support, and security.

For most technology platforms and projects, Corridor substantially leverages third parties for development and ongoing support services, so the right candidate will not only have a “partnering mindset” (flexible teams combining Corridor and 3rd party team members).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Azure System Engineering

o Design, implement, and support active directory, authentication, authorization, provisioning, and de-provisioning services using Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, Microsoft MFA, auto-provisioning, de-provisioning, and related infrastructure.

o Responsible for capacity planning, performance monitoring, configuration, security, metrics, reporting and recovery and maintenance to ensure high availability

o Architect and Engineer enterprise identity & access management (IAM) systems ensuring integration with other enterprise platforms. Create policies, configure SSO for applications, and manage software, servers, and cloud infrastructure. Participate in security and application troubleshooting and incident and problem resolutions with other team members

o Implement and manage O365 applications (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams)

o Design, implement and test business continuity solutions (disaster recovery / high availability). Define processes and procedures for backup recovery, infrastructure security, access & role creation, storage, alerts, monitoring, provisioning, and deprovisioning of infrastructure resources, etc.

o Responsible for ensuring admin access controls, logging, standards, and policies are industry standards, adhering to all SOC 2 protocols and HIPAA requirements

Azure Management, Maintenance, Monitoring

o Identify root causes of operational issues, resolve problems and recommend solutions Develop tools, automation, and scripts to facilitate systems maintenance and administration. Conduct multiple levels of testing prior to release of new and upgraded infrastructure

o Conduct day-to-day maintenance and administration of systems, including software, platform, and configuration updates.

o Develop and adhere to SLAs for platform performance & latency using alerts and metrics

o Ensure compliance on the utilization of Azure resources based on standards and process.

o Collaborate with other IT teams to design and develop automation as the main method for managing the Azure infrastructure

o Continually developing subject matter expertise in Azure cloud architecture and technologies to support initiatives across the company. Research and implement Azure cloud’s best practices

Process, Project Management & Planning

o Manage multiple projects simultaneously including both business initiatives and updates/upgrades to existing infrastructure and performing a variety of tasks, from addressing production issues to working on new initiatives

o Independently complete functional analysis for new projects, document functional and system requirements, and solution designs

o Assist in planning for business unit growth needs, plan upgrades, migrations, etc. Document, develop, and review architecture and infrastructure plans and monitoring


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field and 5-8 years of progressive systems, infrastructure, and cloud experience

Advanced proficiency in:

o designing and administering multi-tenant; systems-monitoring tools

o designing, deploying, and supporting Azure and Microsoft solutions Azure Administration certification preferred

o Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Strong experience in:

o Managing virtual instances in cloud environments including associated elements such as security groups, resource groups, load balancers, storage devices, backup & recovery, and network resources.

o Microsoft Windows, including Active Directory, and DFS

o PowerShell scripting and C#

o configuring and administering MDM tools (MS Intune, etc.)

o knowledge of storage and servers

o software patch management

o automated backup, systems hardening, and performance- tuning skills

o ITIL Service Operations Methodology (Release, Change, Event, Problem, Capacity, etc. Management)

o Knowledge of healthcare electronic medical record (EMR) systems and typical interconnected systems (especially payment clearinghouses)

o Prior experience implementing and or supporting data/reporting solutions (including analytics tools)

Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills directed to both technical and non-technical audiences

Excellent organizational, planning, and project-management skills

Timely and professional problem-solving mindset
