The HT Group is partnering with a established Austin-based company in the search for a talented Azure / Windows Systems Architect, responsible for designing, building, and supporting server cloud environments and supporting systems (AD, O365, Exchange). As an advanced membef of the technical team, this role cooperates with application and infrastructure teams to provide guidance and perform activities required to build, support, and automate a large, complex cloud-based computing environment. The position utilizes industry best practices for the management, architecture, configuration, DR, administration, and automation of the enterprise cloud environment while finding efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.

What you'll do:

- Designs, documents, configures, implements, and supports Microsoft Server O/S in Azure

- Provides senior level expertise to the infrastructure team

- Utilizes knowledge to influence / cooperate with other IT teams across the enterprise

- Helps identify and remediate security vulnerabilities

- Uses learned knowledge to create new cloud-based infrastructure and environments

- Evaluates systems and upgrades for appropriateness of sizing, cost effectiveness and application performance

- Oversees and implements system upgrade strategies and develops strategic roadmaps

- Assists in the design, implementation and maintenance of complex solutions working across teams

- Develops and analyzes highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance

- Maintains all server-side cloud and security documentation to ensure compliance with companies Information Security Policy and Standards

- Develops monitoring methods for cloud infrastructure and VM system maintenance and provides technical recommendations for enhancement

- Researches current systems technologies and serves as subject matter expert on cloud integration processes and procedures

- Provides technical know-how to internal and external personnel on highly complex cloud system administration and installation processes

- Informs stakeholders and IT management of appropriate developments in support products

- Provides immediate response to break-fix of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud VM assets

What you have:

- 10+ years of experience

- Bachelor's degree

- MS MCSE, Azure Administrator and/or Architect certifications preferred

- In-depth knowledge of Windows based operating systems and services

- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, SCCM and other Azure hosted backend eco-systems

- In-depth system administration experience and knowledge, including operating systems, hardware and networking

- Ability to administer Azure licensing entitlements for Reserved Instances, Security certificates and User licensing (e.g. M365)

- General working knowledge of NAS, SAN, Linux and Fortinet products and other supporting eco-systems

- Thorough understanding and workings of incident handling protocols, personally identifiable information, Server network procedures and information handling

- Knowledge and experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools

- Thorough understanding and workings of cloud Server models: IaaS, PaaS, DaaS, SaaS

- Experience with Cloud applications Azure and Oracle (mainly Azure)

- Experience migrating existing applications to cloud

- Experience with implementing and maintaining highly available mission critical environments, disaster recovery testing and creating technical documentation
