What you need to know about the role...

As our DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the design and evolution of our CI/CT/CD approach. You will have at least three years' experience in a similar role and comfortable being a key stakeholder and decision-maker in new projects and BAU work.

You will work as part of the Digital Product & Engineering Team, alongside developers and testers, delivering your own work but collaborating with and managing 3rd party systems integrators to deliver large projects and evolve the digital experience. You are used to working in a fast-paced environment and enable the team to deliver top quality results.

You will work with a modern stack, using Azure cloud, Azure DevOps, IAC. You will also manage pipelines with some best-in-class software products such as Auth0 and Amplience. Making decisions about how pipelines and environments are built and tested, realising technical requirements and ensuring resilient delivery and quality processes are all fundamental to this role. You will be aware of engineering best practices and help us progress our current standards, innovating our digital experience.

DevOps Engineer
you will:

  • Work collaboratively through excellent communication, strong team ethics and an open-minded approach.
  • Lead from the front, you will work on deployment Strategy, Risk assessment and Planning
  • Lead on
    • Azure DevOps
    • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
    • GitHub, git hooks
    • Configuration Management (Azure Automation)
    • Scripting (Powershell, Azure CLI, Bash, Python, Linux & Windows)

Cloud Infrastructure

  • Azure App Service, Azure Function
  • AKS (Docker, containerisation, Kubernetes)
  • Service Bus, Azure Monitor, Application Insights
  • AAD

Process Automation and Integration

  • Jira and Confluence
  • Comms tools (Slack, Teams, email)
  • APM monitoring and alerting design

Ideally you will have experience in the following:

  • Network Security Certification
  • Azure Certification
  • Programming Languages (C#, JavaScript)
