Senior Windows Azure Engineer (IT System Administrator II) - Digital and Technology Partners - Hybrid/Remote Req#2768574 This position is Remote/hybrid rotation, requires onsite every 4 weeks (once per month) Partnering with the Operations team, you will lead efforts to optimize, harden, and improve the Windows IT Infrastructure on premise and in Azure. Primary focus includes Microsoft Windows Server domain services, and a VMWare based data center. This role will work closely with an outsourced IT staff to steer operation efforts and validate vendor practices for maximum security and reliability. The Engineer will directly influence and be involved in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving any issues that may impact operations. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide expert level support for highly virtualized Windows and Citrix environment focused on scale, availability, and security Assist in the architecture and administration of Active Directory, Exchange, and connected infrastructures Deploy automation technologies and processes to support on-premise and cloud based infrastructures Improve and automate existing repetitive, manual processes and procedures driving support efficiencies Collaborate with business leads, engineering, and development staff in order to gather requirements that will help drive innovation and efficiencies within infrastructure operations Deep knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Build Automation and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Utilizing advanced level troubleshooting and triage with RCA and recommending corrective actions for escalations Performing remote administration for Windows Server 2012 and 2016, Clustering, Virtualization and building VMs instances Has a strong understanding of troubleshooting and configuration of VMware servers to include protocols and switching, best-practice configurations, connectivity, and networking concepts. Research and develop future-state solutions and onboard new technologies that enhance and optimize the cloud infrastructure stack for media ingest and delivery Collaborate with and provide architectural, design, and engineering direction to other Infrastructure Teams such as Application, Database, Desktop, Network, and security to ensure appropriate architecture and processes are developed, documented, maintained, and followed Gather requirements from business and application teams and their vendors to architect, design, and implement appropriate solutions in either Public or Private Cloud infrastructures Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or STEM degree Experience: 10+ years of experience and a 4-year degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience 10+ years Windows Engineering experience working with 2012-2019 7+ years of VMware systems administration experience, specifically 6.X preferably 7.X 7+ years of Citrix systems administration, specifically 7.X 5+ years of experience having strong knowledge of On-premises infrastructure and Cloud space for architectural design guidance in migrating infrastructure from VMWare to Azure cloud.
